I know I am not alone when I say that Saturday mornings are my favorite. No alarm besides a dog staring you square in the eye at 7:30… but I’ll take it compared to my “church bells” alarm at 5:30 during the week. I told myself I would run this morning because my new “motivation sneakers” came last week, but it was too cold for that nonsense!
An extra 2 hours
31 JanCrazy weather to wake up to this morning… besides the tropical temperature, the wind has been crazy and looks to have taken out lots of power. We were lucky… but based on a 2-hour delay from our district, some others were not. Fingers crossed it comes back on soon.

27 JanSo while my blog will maintain a teaching focus, there is huge part of my life outside of teaching that has to do with my golden retriever, Palmer. Those of you who are my Facebook friends know that I am pathetically in love with her, but I also know that there are many dog lovers out there who enjoy reading some crazy stories and getting ideas on what to do when you actually have time to relax with your favorite 4-legged friend.
A few of my favorite things
26 JanCloth to decorate the background of bulletin boards
It is easy and cheap…I usually go to Walmart and check out their sale section on fabric. Always double check that your local Walmart carries fabric. I can’t tell you the number of times that I have been disappointed when I showed up on a mission and realized that the branch did not carry fabric.
Welcome!
21 JanWelcome and thank you for taking a moment to discover my blog. The primary focus of my blog is to share teaching ideas with a network of educators…. and keeping some level of sanity in a very stressful occupation. As I build my blog and begin to share posts, I want to encourage you to check out my bio to get to know the full me… as a teacher, dog-mom, sister, and fiance. My plan for the upcoming week is to post some pictures of my classroom and share some hidden gems in the teaching world that save me when I am in a pinch. We love those, teachers, right?
Stay tuned, and be sure to come back and visit soon!
